Summer Memories by Phone

What did I take pictures of with my phone? JE smiling, a trip painting pottery at the Mud Hut, the girls selling drinks on my parents driveway, and JE's favorite toy!

Chuck E Cheese visit, my aunt's 40th birthday (the one in pink), and checking out the cupcake place in Longview - Bake Cupcakes.

Happy 40th Aunt Debra!

Cousin A made the very cool tissue paper flowers!  Which of course my girls loved!  We discovered JE loves to sit on a bean bag chair with her sisters and watch loads of TV!!! hmmm...

Cousin J!  My aunt is the one in the pink dress.

Longview Summer 2010

Our sweet cousins. We love getting a chance to visit every summer.

We also spent two weeks at Mia and Poppy's house this summer. Lots of pool time. The girls took an art camp at The Longview Museum of Fine Arts. Great fun. In the alley downtown is a wall with a painted bench they pretended to sit on. Also Mia and Poppy have a large yard and at some point the girls had to run laps for not listening. My bright idea. At least it was extra exercise... We had so much fun. Thanks Mia and Poppy for letting us stay so long!!

Bett and Papa with the Duck

Presenting Quacks the Duck

In Longview, JM participated in her first Theatre Camp and Artsview. Six and seven year olds put on The Tortoise and the Hare. JM was Quacks the Duck. It was so cute. JM was in the 'hare's gang' and had to act cool. They were doing it 50's style. Super cute music for the dance and singing numbers.

And we got to perform with L, who is my friend's daughter who we see most summers. They were super cute. I was so proud of JM for trying something new, having no fear and just showing what a kind and fun-heart she has through all of it. The lady who did her make up stopped to tell me how sweet JM was. JM apparently complimented her on her make-up job and the lady was a volunteer and it made her feel good. I love JM for making others feel good, even adults!! That's amazing!

Cool theatre experience for kids. Hope we get to do it again.
